About Focus On Massage North
Located in Cadillac, Michigan, Focus on Massage North is conveniently located to serve the surrounding areas such as Manton, Lake City, McBain, Marion, Tustin, LeRoy and even Reed City. We have clients that come from as far away as Traverse City and Manistee. Our therapists are all competently trained in various modalities of massage. Each therapist truly loves to help people, and do their best to make each massage personalized for your needs. We have 2 private massage rooms which allows us privacy for each client and also allows us the capability of massaging couples either in separate rooms or together in the same room. We are also one of the only massage clinics in Northern Michigan that accepts insurance. The therapists have all been trained at state licensed and accredited schools and are members of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Insurances Accepted
We are one of the only massage clinics in Northern Michigan that accept insurance. Unfortunately your Major Medical insurance like Blue Cross etc. will not pay for massage unless it is included in your physical therapy and the therapist is under the physical therapist roof.
However, if you have been in a car accident your car insurance (PIP) will pay for massages if you have a doctors prescription. Also, Workers Compensation insurance will pay with a docotrs prescription. Please call us for more information on this service as there is a bit of information we need to process these claims.

Sara Marr
I have been in the massage business for 12 years after graduating from Baker College in Cadillac with a certificate in massage therapy. I am certified in many modalities including swedish massage, deep tissue work, hot stones, sports, pregnancy, and infant massage. My area of expertise is in helping people deal with specific issues like frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, and sciatica through massages designed to help each unique person. Techniques and stretches may vary according to each individuals needs.
Hilda Schut, RN, CMT
I have been invoved in the health progession for over 30 years, working as a Registered Nurse in both hospital and out-patient setting. I have learned through this experience how important touch is in helping the body heal.
I returned to school and graduated from Flint School of Therapeutic Massage in 2004. I am a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
I specialize in deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, prenatal massage and sports massage. I incorporate different techniques in each massage to individualize my massage to fit my clients needs. Some of these techniques include stretching, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy.
I was born and raised in the McBain area and returned to Northern Michigan in 2010 to practice at Focus on Massage.
